April 8, 2014—Dublin Foundation Continues To Support KidSMILES
The Dublin Foundation granted $2,684 KidSmiles to provide dental supplies and dental education to the families accessing Welcome Warehouse’s services in Dublin. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, timers, educational information and postcards about KidSMILES will be distributed to approximately 1,200 children. Since out inception in 2010, t he Foundation has gifted KidSMILES almost $10,000. We are grateful for the long-term commitment of the Dublin Foundation in helping to achieve our mission!
March 19, 2014—Generous Donation Received from the Fred W. Carver Fund
KidSMILES is the grateful recipient of a $25,000 donation from the Fred W. Carver Fund at the Columbus Foundation. The money will be used to purchase supplies and upgraded computers for the clinic.
March 18, 2014—KidSMILES Receives First Ever Grant from the Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
KidSMILES received a $20,000 grant from the Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as part of their Healthy Families, Healthy Children program. This funding will support KidSMILES’ “Providing a Dental Home to Children in Need” program and will allow the organization to find patients, recruit and train volunteers and provide long-term, comprehensive dental treatment to hundreds of central Ohio children. March 5, 2014—KidSMILES Receives $5,000 from Ohio Children’s Foundation
KidSMILES received a grant of $5,000 from the Ohio Children's Foundation to assist the organization in reaching more children. The Foundation's mission is to enhance the lives of children by providing grants to support services for at-risk children and families.
January 28, 2014—Delta Dental Once Again Supports KidSMILES
KidSMILES was recently awarded Delta Dental Foundation's 2013 Brighter Futures Grant for $5,000. Delta Dental has been a strong supporter of KidSMILES by donating $10,000 to KidSMILES since our inception. The grant will support our primary program - "Providing a Dental Home to Children in Need." Specifically, the money will be used to help cover the cost of necessary supplies including fluoride, sealants and materials for cavity restoration to ensure that each patient is receiving both preventative and diagnostic care.
December 16, 2014—Henry Schein Cares Extends In-Kind Support
KidSMILES will receive health care product donations over the next two years valued at up to $25,000 as part of its renewed agreement with Henry Schein Cares, the global social responsibility program of Henry Schein, Inc. Henry Schein Cares helps to expand access to health care for underserved and at-risk populations around the world.
Ongoing participation in the Henry Schein Cares program enables KidSMILES to continue to treat children at $10 per visit.
December 13, 2014—Coldwell Banker King Thompson Foundation Pitches In
KidSMILES received a $2,500 gift from the Coldwell Banker King Thompson Foundation at an end of the year celebration. Many members of the CBKT team have also been serving as volunteers by helping fill more than 1,500 goody bags.
October 26, 2013—Kiwanis Club Partners with KidSMILES
The Kiwanis Club in Dublin made a generous donation of $550 and will work with KidSMILES to help promote our services. We look forward to partnering with them in the future.
October 18, 2013—Mercator Support Continues
For the second year in a row, the Mercator Club has granted KidSMILES $1,000 to help support our clinic program. The money will be used to help to purchase necessary supplies for patients.

Sept. 16, 2013--KidSMILES Silent Auction Raises More than $12,500
Thanks to our volunteers and supporters, the KidSMILES Celebration and Silent Auction was a great success. Held at the Lazy Chameleon in Powell, the event featured hundreds of silent auction items, live music and a festive atmosphere. Participants had a wonderful time that resulted in more than $12,500 being donated to the clinic! A special thanks to Carol Homon and the many volunteers who helped make the auction a reality.

KidSMILES supporters who are also Ohio State Buckeye fans can now purchase exclusive Ohio State collectibles, accessories and memorabilia with a portion of the proceeds benefiting KidSMILES. August 29, 2013--The Big Give Returns to Central Ohio
Save the date for September 17th beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing for 24 hours. The Big Give is a campaign of The Columbus Foundation to generate donations to charities across central Ohio. They have $1 million worth of matching funds that will amplify each individual donation. And they are waiving all credit card fees! This is a wonderful opportunity to support KidSMILES with an online gift that will have more impact than ever before!
August 27, 2013—KidSMILES Receives Support from Ohio Dental Association Foundation
The Ohio Dental Association Foundation has granted KidSMILES with $5,000 to support our program of providing dental homes to children in need. The funds will help us find, serve and follow patients every six months. We are very grateful for the partnership.
August 23, 2013—kiDDS Foundation Honors KidSMILES
KidSMILES is honored to be a first time recipient of a $10,000 grant from the kiDDS Foundation. This funding will be used to support the pediatric dental clinic by purchasing needed supplies for each patient and assisting with the costs associated with running of providing dental care to children in need.
June 30, 2013—2nd Annual 5K a Success
KidSMILES’ 2nd annual 5K and Family Fun Run has held on June 29, 2013 at Glacier Ridge Metro Park and raised more than $8,500 to support clinic operations. More than 200 individuals enjoyed the event including 25 children who ran the Fun Run with Stinger, the mascot for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

June 27, 2013—Volunteer Training Program Receives Funding
Thanks to the Karl P. Reiser Memorial Scholarship Fund administered through the Columbus Foundation’s Small Grants program, KidSMILES has received $7,000 to implement a comprehensive volunteer training program. This funding will allow our organization to ensure that the dental professionals treating patients in our clinic will have full understanding of our policies and procedures and will allow them to have a positive volunteer experience.
June 14, 2013—Montei Foundation Provides Support

June 12, 2013—Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation Continues Long-Term Partnership
The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation has solidified our multi-year partnership by granting KidSMILES $10,000 to support our educational outreach efforts. For the last three years, KidSMILES and Stinger, the Blue Jackets mascot, have been visiting elementary schools to teach about good dental hygiene. With the additional funding, we will expand our outreach efforts to include grassroots community events and festivals in addition to our traditional efforts. Thank you!

Executive Director Julie Homon officially cut the ribbon indicating that KidSMILES is open to the public during our Grand Opening celebration. Board members, volunteers, donors and special guests including Stinger from the Columbus Blue Jackets celebrated the milestone.
